Booking Terms and Conditions:
The Conditions below apply in respect of all work carried out by Excel at Work Limited for the client (that’s you or your organisation), except to the extent that Excel at Work otherwise agrees with you in writing:

  1. Fees
Our fees are based on a set duration of time spent delivering training services for you, regardless of interruptions or breaks initiated by your learners. To get the most out of our time with your learners try to minimise all interruptions and ensure they are well prepared for the session.
  2. Expenses
In providing services Excel at Work may have to make payments to third parties on the client’s behalf. The client will be notified of these prior expenses at the time of booking our services. These will be included in our invoice to the client when the expense is incurred.
  3. Cancellation and transfer by you
    a. No administration fee will be charged should you want to cancel or move your booking to another date providing you have given notice to Excel at Work more than 14 days prior to the stated course date. If you have already paid your invoice and wish to cancel you will be reimbursed the invoice amount less any bank/credit card fees incurred. In the case of payments made by credit card, this is usually 2.9% of the total invoice amount.
    b. Should a booking be cancelled or postponed less than 14 days prior to the course date Excel at Work reserves the right to apply the following charges:
    – between 14 or fewer working days prior – $500 + GST or 50% of course fee. Whichever is the lesser.
    – On the day of the course – $700+GST or 100% of course fee. Whichever is the lesser.
    c. Should the number of participants change on the day of training your invoice will be adjusted. Please note that this may affect the price originally quoted to you due to differing rates based on numbers booked.
    d. Booking laptops. If you have booked a training laptop and it isn’t required due to a no-show you will be charged the full fee for the participant. We recommend you find a replacement learner for the day.
  4. Cancellation of courses by Excel at Work:
Excel at Work reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course if the session cannot take place due to circumstances beyond Excel at Work’s control. In this circumstance if you have pre paid or placed a deposit on your course you will be given a full refund.
  5. Payment Terms
We invoice when you book. In most cases, unless prior arrangements have been agreed to, training fees are due prior to training delivery. In some cases we invoice in 2 parts with the initial invoice being a deposit.  This deposit is subject to clause 3 and clause 4. We ask that the deposit is paid at least 14 working days prior to the scheduled session. Once your deposit is received your booking is secured.  We then invoice the remainder post training.
  6. Recording of training
We do not allow any of our training sessions to be recorded on any kind of recording device.
  7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
In the event of a course attendee (“learner”) choosing to access actual working files (“live data”), instead of using Excel at Work’s exercise files, during the course of the training, they do so at his/her/its own risk. While Excel at Work will take every care to ensure learners avoid loss of data, under no circumstances and under no legal theory (tort, contract or otherwise) shall Excel at Work or any of its affiliates, agents, employees, shareholders, directors, officers, third party content providers, successors or assigns be liable to the client or any other person or entity for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages of any character, including without limitation, damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, loss of data, loss of productivity or contract, or any and all other commercial damages or losses. Use of live data is at the Learner’s sole risk and any content that is used during the training is used at the learners discretion and risk, and the client is solely responsible for any damage to any computer system, and for any loss of data that results from the actions of the Learner. In no event Excel at Work be liable for any damages, even if Excel at Work shall have been informed of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any other party. In no event will warranties provided by law, if any, apply unless they are required to apply by statute notwithstanding their exclusion by contract.
