About this course
This introductory course is offered as a 2-hour online course focusing on getting you started in Microsoft Office 365. It covers the skills that are essential to continue to work interrupted on 'go-live' day and answers the questions "what is working in the cloud?" and "where do I save to now?"

This course is aimed at people who are ready to learn the new features that Microsoft 365 offers. This course is definitely for you if:
- You are new to Microsoft 365 and would like a beginner course
- An upgrade to Microsoft 365 is just around the corner and you'd like a heads up as to what it is and what to expect on 'go-live' day
- You have been using Microsoft 365 for a while and you're feeling that gaining some understanding in how to use it better would be beneficial
- You started using Microsoft 365 during lockdown and may’ve picked up bad habits because #pandemic, so you need structured learning that’ll fill in the gaps and help you consolidate what you already know with best practice
Learning outcomes
This hands-on course guides you through creating a new document in OneDrive, sharing and editing the file with others and introduces key apps that come with Microsoft 365 Business subscription. The course is complemented with quick reference cheat sheets.
Course pre-requisites
An understanding of previous versions of Microsoft® Office would be beneficial but not essential. Learners will require a PC with access to their Microsoft® Office 365 Premium (or equivalent) subscription.

Microsoft 365 provides a range of apps that can be used online, or from your desktop. Working in the cloud transforms the way you collaborate with your team and people external to your company. In this module you will learn what it is, how to navigate and the fundamentals of working in the cloud.

Need proof of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD)? On completion of the workshop, by request, we will send you a “Certificate of Attendance” confirming your participation and the duration of the training session.
For onsite workshops only
Please note: we are currently running onsite workshops in the Auckland region only.
The quick reference cheat sheet used during the onsite session will be emailed to your nominated onsite contact prior to the session. Having a printed copy handy during the learning will be extremely beneficial to your learners.
Need training laptops? Not a problem. For a small fee we can supply laptops for you to use. We have 6 to share. All are thoroughly sanitised before and after use.
For online sessions only
We use Microsoft Teams or the latest version of Zoom to deliver live online sessions. If you would like to follow along with your trainer please ensure you have logged in to your Microsoft® Office 365 Premium (or equivalent) subscription.
Having a webcam and headphones ensures you can enjoy interacting with your trainer and fellow participants. Please ensure your browser software is up to date too. For the best experience we recommend using Microsoft Chromium Edge or Google Chrome as your browser.
Details on how to connect to the session, along with your quick reference cheat sheet will be emailed to you prior to your session. Having a printed copy handy during your learning will be extremely beneficial to your learning.
